Westfield Farm

One of the most attractive and inspiring ideas underpinning biodynamic growing is Rudolph Steiner’s concept of the farm as a living organism. Every field is considered part of a holistic system, in which all resources are beneficially interlinked whether it be soil, water, energy, animals or people. We are very fortunate to be setting up the Limeburn Hill Vineyard within Westfield Farm – an established organic permaculture farm where this kind of thinking is second nature. The existing forest garden, orchard, willow field, bee hives, ducks, hens and sheep, not to mention the family and friends, will all in their way feed into the healthy ecosystem surrounding the vineyard.

However, one set of neighbours won’t be invited to the party. The deer fencing has been installed.
