Celebrating Bees, Wine & the Summer Solstice at Limeburn Hill Vineyard with Rachel de Thample

  • Limeburn Hill Vineyard England United Kingdom (map)

Join us in the wildflower meadows of Limeburn Hill Vineyard to celebrate the release of the new River Cottage Bees & Honey Handbook with author Rachel de Thample.

We will spend the day sampling tasty delights from Rachel’s book, exploring the meadows and vineyard, visiting the tree hives around the farm, and learning about the connection between flowers and flavour in different British honeys.

This biodynamic vineyard’s innovative and ecological approach has created a healthy habitat for wild bees who help perpetuate the natural yeasts that kickstart the winemaking process, and there will be an opportunity to taste the natural wines as part of the celebrations.

In addition to the wine tasting the ticket includes a warming welcome drink and a sample of Rachel’s honeyed carrot cake, along with a light lunch (menu below):

· Summer tomato salad with smoky honey dressing

· Hugh’s dukka dip-a-thon featuring an array of different British honeys

· Beeswax fermented berries with honeyed chocolate pots

We hope you can join us to celebrate the Summer Solstice in this very special way!
