Grow your very own vineyard. A one-day practical workshop for people who either already have a few grapevines or who would like to plant a micro vineyard in their garden or allotment - perhaps with the aim of making a few bottles of natural wine. This course will set you up to prepare your site, choose your vines and understand the character and needs of a grapevine. It will take you through the growing stages from bud burst to flowering, grape set and veraison to harvest, and back round to winter pruning. You will learn about potential pests and diseases and some Biodynamic tools for dealing with them.
The course will take place in the barn and outdoors on the vineyard, so bring appropriate clothing for the weather and for walking on uneven ground. A vegetarian lunch is included as well as tea/coffee and cake. (Please advise of any allergies).
The price includes all of the teaching, plus a vineyard tour, wine tasting, lunch and refreshments.
For those already harvesting grapes, a My Tiny Winery course may follow!
