Today we celebrate all things South West Food and Drink...A few things to note... • The event will be held at Wogan’s Coffee Roastery, 2 Clement St, St Jude’s, Bristol BS2 9EQ • If you are a supplier and showcasing at the event set-up begins at 12pm • For all other guests, The event will start at 1 pm on Monday 16 September • There is no parking available at the site but there is some parking available locally or in the Cabot Circus car park. If you would still like to attend last minute there will be availability on the day so please feel free to come along. We’ll see you later!

How long does a Pet Nat last? We just tried one of How long does a Pet Nat last? We just tried one of our early vintages - a 2019 Samhain Pet Nat Red - and it was delicious, more integrated and balanced, still lots of lovely fruit, touch of malo, a really quite sophisticated wine, which is not that typical of a Pet Nat. There is this incredible energy at this time of ye There is this incredible energy at this time of year, as the sun lowers in the sky, daylight hours reduce, temperatures drop and yet the grapes continue to ripen. It feels that they absorb this cool autumnal quality and express it in the wine - no big, overwhelming flavours, just delicacy and a more gentle quality, lower alcohol, and a deep sense of place. #terroir #naturalwine #petnatamber #biodynamic #organic

A real chance to further create new connections from the day and to truly celebrate the coming together of so many fantastic industry people from our region. The dinner will take place from 6:30pm on the 16th September at £50 per person. Wasps have arrived just as the grapes begin to swe Wasps have arrived just as the grapes begin to sweeten, so the wasp nets are up. Wasps are really important in spreading wild yeast across the grapes, but if the nest is abandoned when the grapes are ripe we can lose a lot of the crop in a matter of days. The wasps trapped inside really dislike the netting (see video) and so stop eating the grapes, trying to escape. Lifting up the edges lets them out, at which point they try to get straight back in… #wasps #wildyeast #waspnetting ##biodynamicvineyard
