Vineyard tours, tasting and events for 2019

The buds have burst, a new vineyard has been planted, the 2018 vintage is being labelled ready for release, and Limeburn Hill Vineyard is open for tours, tastings and events for the 2019 season.

Tickets are available now via the Food Connections website – Saturday tour/tasting here & Sunday tour/tasting here.

There will also be vineyard tours & tastings throughout the summer –
Saturday July 6,
Sunday August 18,
Saturday September 7,
Sunday September 8.

Click on the dates above for more details and booking info.

Poetry, Music & Wine
On Saturday August 17, we are hosting an evening of wine, music and poetry with performance poet Steve Day and bass clarinet player Mark Langford. Steve came on our inaugural tour last year and was inspired to write an evocative poem, which you can read on our blog, entitled ‘Water be Wine’. We’ll be roaming the vineyard, listening to poems & music in a glorious landscape, and tasting Limeburn Hill Vineyard natural wines. Tickets will be available soon on Eventbrite – check our Calendar page for more details.

Vineyard & Winemaking Workshop
A number of people have expressed an interest in learning more about biodynamic viticulture (growing the grapes) and viniculture (making the wine) so vineyard manager and winemaker Robin Snowdon is running an introductory day on Sunday July 7. This will explain the the principles of biodynamic agriculture & vineyard management, as well as an introduction to biodynamic winemaking. There will also be a tour of the vineyard and tasting of the wines. More details available on our website here.

Presentations, Talks & Guided Tastings
As part of our enthusiasm for natural wine and biodynamics, we love to give presentations & talks about the vineyard combined with guided tastings of our wine. We will be giving a few presentations this year – the first one will be at West Street Kitchen in Bristol, as part of their Handmade Pasta & Natural Wine weekend on Friday 28 & Saturday 29 June. More details to follow on our Calendar page / instagram account @limeburnhill

Group visits
We are delighted to be welcoming some groups to the vineyard this year including the Women’s Institute and Chew Valley Gardening Society. If you would like to talk to us about arranging a group tour/tasting, a presentation or a special event, please feel free to contact us.
